We turn public data into stories people can understand.
Malaysia publishes an enormous amount of public data — and organises nearly all of it by agency. A ministry's dataset here, a department's portal there. But citizens do not wake up asking for a ministry's dataset. They ask whether today is normal. Whether their family can afford a home. Whether the jobs are good, the water will keep flowing, and the country is becoming older.
State of Malaysia is an independent attempt to organise that information by life instead: a living portrait of the country, built topic by topic, where every number says what it is and where it came from.
Climate is chapter one — live feeds read against 35 years of real data. The rest of the library is being researched in the open: each shelf on the topics index says honestly whether it is available, in research or still planned.
What this is not
This is not an official government service, and nothing here is advice — medical, financial or otherwise. For emergencies and official warnings, always use the responsible agency's own channels.
How the numbers are made — and labelled — is on the methodology page; the full dataset ledger is on the sources page.
