Where every number comes from.
The site's rule is simple: no figure appears without a source that can be named here. This ledger lists every data family in use — and, separately, the ones still being evaluated, because a source under evaluation is a plan, not a citation.
Active — read live today
Current temperature, rainfall and UV at one reference point per state.
Powers: Climate — live readings
Caveat: A physical model constrained by observations, not a thermometer on the ground.
Air quality (PM2.5, US AQI) for the major cities.
Powers: Climate — air quality
Population, prices, labour, income and most of the country's official statistics as open data.
Powers: Population estimates, household income (HIS), labour force (LFS) and CPI — read live
Caveat: Official releases on survey/bulletin cadence, not live counts; chapters label them Official latest.
The federal open-data catalogue: fuel prices (MOF), transit ridership (MOT), federal finances (MOF), schools and teachers (MOE), recorded crime (PDRM), hospital beds and blood donations (MOH), tourist arrivals (Immigration), crops (DOA), electricity and water statistics, emissions, forest reserves, marriages and births (DOSM), cellular subscriptions (MCMC).
Powers: Cost of Living, Transportation, Economy, Tourism, Healthcare, Education, Crime & Safety, Government, Water, Energy, Environment, Agriculture, Culture & Society, Infrastructure — read live
Caveat: Vintages vary by dataset — every chapter states the exact period of its release. Flood-warning API still a candidate.
Baked — processed offline, cited on the page
The 1991–2020 climate baseline, computed once offline from 35 years of daily reanalysis.
Powers: Climate — anomalies and normals
Caveat: The standard tool for climate baselines; still a model, and it says so on every page.
Solar irradiance climatology for all fourteen reference points, baked at build time.
Powers: Climate — the solar map in the Energy section
Tree-cover and primary-forest loss figures, cited from published dashboards.
Powers: Climate — the Forests section
Caveat: Tree-cover loss includes plantation harvest and fire; the primary-forest figure is the honest measure of rainforest destroyed.
Sea-level rise rates and 2100 projections for the Malaysian coast.
Powers: Climate — the Sea Level section
The current El Niño / La Niña phase and outlook.
Powers: Climate — the ENSO explainer and this-year outlook
House price index, transactions, and residential overhang — published as reports, not an API.
Powers: Housing — documented figures, verified against the published reports
Caveat: No live feed. The chapter is only as fresh as the last verified report.
Company and business registration statistics — published as reports.
Powers: Business — documented figures, verified against published statistics
Caveat: No live feed. Aggregate statistics only — never individual-company records.
Candidate — being evaluated
River station levels and flood warnings, published as web pages.
Powers: Climate — the River Watch section is ILLUSTRATIVE until this is integrated
Caveat: No open API today. The site refuses to scrape-and-pretend, so river figures stay labelled illustrative.
Item-level price observations across premises and districts.
Powers: Cost of Living — the My Basket experience
